Welcome to St Gabriel’s!

The Parish of St Gabriel the Archangel, Fullbrook, Walsall, seeks to teach and live out the whole Christian Gospel, administering the great Sacraments of Christ’s love, providing a pastoral and missionary ministry to the people of Bescot, the Delves, Fullbrook, Tame Bridge and the Yew Tree areas of south Walsall.

Whilst administratively part of the Church of England’s Diocese of Lichfield, the Parish receives the Pastoral ministry of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet, Provincial Episcopal Visitor in the Province of Canterbury. The Parish is also formally affiliated to Forward in Faith, an Anglican organisation committed to maintaining and propagating Christian orthodoxy within the Church of England.

The principal place of worship is St Gabriel’s Parish Church, dedicated to Gabriel the Archangel, who appears in the Bible as God’s messenger to the Prophet Daniel (Daniel 8.15-26 and 9.20-27); to Zacharias the Priest (Luke 1.5-25) and to Mary the Mother of Jesus (Luke 1.26-38). There is a second place of worship dedicated to the Annunciation, the name given by the Church to Gabriel’s historic encounter with Mary (Luke 1.26-38).

The Parish operates in close co-operation with the neighbouring ABC Parishes of St Michael, Caldmore, Walsall; and St Andrew, Birchills, Walsall.

Parish Prayer:

Lord God, Heavenly Father:
We pray that your Holy Spirit
Will so inspire our hearts and minds
That our faith may be rekindled
And burn like a bright fire
For us to reach out
In Your love and fellowship to others.
We ask this through Jesus Christ,
Our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

BLESS YOU!

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May he make his face to shine upon you,
and be gracious unto you.
May he lift up the light of his countenance upon you,
and give you peace, now, and for evermore. Amen.
